Thread: Kensfish Review

I placed a large order with Kensfish monday this week, well I was getting worried because the tracking number for UPS said it hadn't been picked up yet.
Tried emailing them yesterday and didn't hear back, so called this morning and left a message. About 20 mins later I get called back.
Turns out the package was picked up Tuesday, and something is going on with UPS, rather than telling me to contact UPS like most places would do. Ken is looking into it for me. He told me his rep says something in the box may have been damaged and that would be what is causing the delay...
Ken told me that if for some reason the package is lost, damaged etc he will get me out whatever he needs to right away once we know whats going on.
I was expecting to be pushed aside and must say I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service I received. Hoping, since it was picked up Tuesday that it should be at my house today... But overall between price and the call I just had I'd recommend Kensfish for the online store anytime

I have recently ordered from from Kens for the first time. Being in Canada, a lot of vendors will not go through the extra hassle of properly completing commercial invoices to help ensure the shipment goes through customs OK AND without extra expense to the end consumer. They certainly do get the importance of customer service and I would also recommend them to any Canadian hobbyist.

Compared to my LFS selling Jager heaters at $35 a piece, the $17 I paid wasn't too bad ;)
I ordered 4 sponge filters, 4 extra sponges, 1lb of food, a small net, two 50W heaters, and 30lbs for Seachum Flourite Black sand. Paid $115 which overall was by far the cheapest prices I had found

Ok, time for morals to kick in
Got a call from Kens, UPS was unable to locate the package so he sent me out another one, should come in Monday at the latest... he said if I receive two to just refuse one
But if I receive two will he know, UPS is already being held responsible for the loss... I could theoretically end up with double everything... but I also feel like that could lead to some bad Karma... what do you guys all think.
If they do deliver two do I keep both, or do I refuse the one if given the chance. Or if they just drop both off without me having to sign, do I contact Ken to have the 2nd one shipped back?

Well, I don't believe in Karma, but I do believe in being able to sleep. If they asked you to refuse one of the packages than that is what you should do. If I were asked to refuse one and didn't I would feel guilty and wouldn't be able to sleep. After the outstanding prices and customer service you just received from Ken, shame on you for thinking you might rip him off now.People say if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all... Then they wonder why am I so quiet.

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
A moderator on a fish forum should be able to identify an oscar... Don't you think?

My main concern is them just dropping the package off not requiring a signature, I am very much leaning towards contacting Ken if I get the extra package to arrange it getting back to him...
I can't be the only person that the thought would be there... guilt is the reason I am wondering if it would affect Kens or if UPS would be held liable. UPS is the only one I'd wanna rip off in this deal, but most likely going to only receive one and make the whole option moot.
