  1. Default Getting rid of pond snails?!

    0 Not allowed!
    Hello all,
A couple weeks ago i noticed a pond snail in my tank. It must have hitched a ride on the java moss or other plant i bought for my tank. I know they are usually disliked in the hobby but i wasnt really bothered as it was doing a bit of algae cleanup and there was only one. However, today i noticed 3 or 4 tiny ones on my glass and upon closer inspection of my java moss there are heaps of really tiny ones in there! they are obviously reproducing quick and i do not want to be overrun with them, please help!

In my tank I have 16 neon tetra, 6 three lined corydoras, and about 10-15 red cherry shrimp. Because of this i cannot use copper based medications as they will kill my shrimp, nor could i have any snail eating fish that would also eat my shrimp. any suggestions???

Make a snail trap from a plastic bottle and bait with some blanched cucumber
