A word of warning...(and gratuitous photos)

Just a warning for those that have "jumpy" fish you might consider treating in a separate tank.
I had a cherry barb with a swim bladder infection. I moved her to my hospital tank and began treatment.
I found this on the kitchen floor the next morning.

She must have jumped out...

Here's the lid she managed to squeeze through. I thought she'd be too fat for such a gap...obviously not!

So...don't assume a lid like that above is ok - it isn't

She wanted to end her own suffering.

Ugh.. Sorry about your fish Firefly.
When I go fishing I just throw sharp rocks in the water and wait for the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Dear naps, sorry I hated you so much when I was a child... Love me

I'm not sure if you're joking, but I don't think fish are capable of suicide. In any case - she was eating so can't have been feeling that down.

Was mostly joking, but still sucks.

Sorry to hear it.
Did you get that tank from Practical Fishkeeping? Have one exactly the same from when I subscribed to them for a year. Good to know that gap in the lid is indeed a risk.

Yes! It's a neat little tank. I don't use it for anything really - other than a spare hospital tank and for growing moss in. My only bugbear with it is you can't have the lights on a timer.
