  1. Question looking at adopting a large tank

I am getting a 150 gallon from a friend and he has: 1 Florida long nose gar 12", 4 Dinosaur bichir around 5", 2 Raphael catfish 3", 1 African brown knife fish 6", 3 Blue gills 5" -8", 1 Peacock Eel 6", 1 Plecostomas 10", 1 Pangasius Catfish 4", 1 African Featherfin Catfish 7", and 1 Red Oscar 10". I was hoping to get some more information on this selection on fish. I have been unable to find much on some of them. for example over all size they will reach, if they are a good mix. I understand I will have to get a bigger tank asap for the hole tank to stay together.

Sandz puts it nicely. Very rough sketch puts me at 4 tanks the smallest of which would be this 150 and one of the bigger ponds for the pangasius

I'd start by half an hour cussing at the mentally challenged person who bought all these.

The panga in a big pond. Perhaps get the oscar and the pleco in there as well. The panga grows to well over 3 ft!

The knife and the birchir should be able to coexist

The gar is a big ambush hunter, perhaps together with the eel

The small stuff, featherfin, blue gill and the raphael together.

And by the way, all of these fish are extremely easy to research.
