unpainting a painted tank?
0
so i was thinking of painting the 150g im planning. instead of buying one of those paper things. but the issue remains is the actual owner of the tank is worried that he wont be able to change the paint and or color or background easly. is it as easy as washing down the back with some acetone? or is it a permanent thing?
he has an issue of permanent doings to his tanks, he wont drill the tank because of that, but thats avoidable.

You wont scratch the glass. You will however have to get used to nails on a chalk board.

Paint comes off of glass really easy, a brand new razor blade will scrape it off easily. Be sure to tape over any exposed silicone with blue painters tape, the paint wont come off that quite as easy. Be sure to also apply the paint in light layers, it will gather up on glass and run down if you don't mist it on there. Don't worry about scratching the glass when removing it. as long as there are no knicks in the razor and you aren't baring down on the blade. Dang, goes to 11, you beat me.

eeeeeeeeeeeek you have to bring up the nails on a chalk board.... im going to be fidgety all day because of that.... so the razor would be the only way to remove it?

It's the easiest and cheapest way.
there are always more than one solution to any problem.

Most painted tanks have layers so thick that you would use a whole bottle of nail pollish removed on one spot... als you risk weakening the silicone.

If you think you may want to remove it one day, use latex paint. It should come off in strips of plastic like paint. Much easier to remove than acrylic, oil based, spray paint etc...
