Did very little this year, some pruning, threw a bag of compost around and pretty much left it. But yeah, it looks good. Just wait until the mustard starts flowering!

Only one solution to that, replant!

Eventually we will, it's one of the few plants my husband and I agree on.
When I go fishing I just throw sharp rocks in the water and wait for the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Dear naps, sorry I hated you so much when I was a child... Love me

Well, this bowl got way out of hand with 2 ft of mint sticking out of it and the forget-me-not tkaing over. So, a couple of weeks ago when it all had a good run my wife caught the shrimps and took the bowl apart to rescape it to something she liked.

Basically still a walstad bowl, unheated, unfiltered and 4 shrimp being quite content with their restyled home.

This is such an amazing idea Dutchie! I would love to try this. Although we can't get shrimp in NZ I think a few Ramshorn snails would be happy there.

What kind of shrimp? Is it not too cold for neocaradina? Bowl looks very nice!

Room temp hasn't dropped below 18 yet and that seems fine with the shrimp.

Ah right, ok. Will you heat it in winter? A lamp alone might do the job.

Haven't decided yet. We may move it to a location closer to the central heating.
