As reported by the police, there are no suspects in custody. I would not base any information on newspaper accounts. It's like they just throw something out there and hope the news ends up matching their article. The Boston Globe is also reporting 100's injured but then.......The Globe is not known for accurate reporting either. But yes, it is awful and a terrible end to a day that should have been special. People are nuts. I fail to understand what anyone gets out of harming others.

These are crazy times we are living in. My condolences to all those effected and their families.

Senseless tragedies suck.
Lets not immediately go looking across the pond from the apple to find the tree...
Either way.. For now it's all speculation.

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.
A warm beer is better than a cold beer. Because nothing is better than a cold beer, and a warm beer is better than nothing.

A sad day for sure. My prayers go out to those that are hurt or have lost a loved one.
It seems it's becoming more common to read of these tragedies around the globe now a days.
With all the news about Canadians being involved in attacks in Africa lately (I am Canadian so don't think I'm throwing that out there for any other reason then to say),
As 850R (AKA, Goes to 11!), posted,

Just a word of caution for those wanting to help out... keep in mind that there are scammers that will jump on tragedies asking for donations that are out there... Stick with places like the Red Cross. Which btw has said they have enough blood on hand for this situations... so donate a bit later (make yourself a calendar date or soemthing) or cash if you want to donate to them.

It was even breaking news over here, they interrupted some soccer interviews on the radio which is saying something!
If you want to help, why not spread some tolerance and calm wherever you may be, knowing the media and the way they jump on these things it will be needed in many more places than Boston.

I don't understand it either. What does anyone gain by killing children and civilians...at a 'fun' event?
I'm also relieved that no one from our family was there this year...they're all 4 hour runners...
