  1. Default Blues spot on tetra

    0 Not allowed!
Today I noticed that one of my blood fin tetra have a blueish white spot behind its head. My parameters are ammonia and nitrites and 0 and nitrates are under 10. Other then the spot its acting fine and eat like normal this morning. I'm going to do a water change and see what happens. I've never herd of a blueish spot any ideas? I can't get a picture of it because my camera sucks and its a fast moving fish. After some research I think its Columnaris any ideas for curing?

-Yes this is the same post as the the diseases forum I want response as fast as possible-

I've done a 50% W/C and from pictures of columnaris I've seen its defiantly columnaris what should I do? I know I need to keep the water quality high (I'll be doing two 25% W/C a day) and lower the temp to 77 (I keep the temp at 80 and am slowly bringing it down). What else should I do and what medication should I use?

The only meds I've found locally is t.c. tetracycline made by api. I've read that this is effective for clearing up columnaris. Have any of you guys used this medication before and how well did it work for you?

From my research the most effective medication I have locally is the t.c tetracycline. I've begone treatment and see how this goes... I'm expecting the worse in it wiping out my stock.
