    hey guys,
    i have 2 tanks a 20 gallon and a stored up 10.
im having a little trouble choosing if i should start a new setup with the 10 or use
the filter from the 10 for the 20. if i give the filter to the 20 i can upgrade my stock.
but if i go with the 10 i have to buy a heater, gravel, media, and plants.
but if i go with the 10 i have more selection. if i go to for the 20 i can't add much.
so what can i add in my 20 (looking for new species)
    if i have
    2 platy
    2 oto
    8 neon
and if i go with the 10 i want either the main fish to be a betta OR endler. so what can i add to the betta OR the endler.
thanks sorry that i wrote quite a bit.

Interesting. Buy another filter for the 20 (double what you already have), and start up the 10 with your Betta.
The 20 seems to be sparse with bottom dwellers like Cories.
Or maybe add some top dwellers like Marble hatchets.
Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..

Please remember; every keystroke has a consequence.

IME, I would say a single bolivian would be alright.....
They might eat some platy fry, idk that's just what I;ve heard.
I know they will be compatable with the ottos and neons, they might nip the neons a tiny bit but the neon swill be fine if they have a school. Good Luck!

I would say that one bolivian ram would be fine. Just make sure to have a area of dense plants and couple of caves for it. How long has the tank been set up? Bolivians are hardier then german blues but they still shouldn't be added until the tank has been running with the current stock for a couple of months.
    20 gallon tall: empty
29 gallon: moderately planted with 9 bloodfin tetra, 1 german blue ram, 11 glow light tetra and 1 BNP
    10 gallon QT: empty

i would sat since September - October. i am going to add a tetra pf 10 filter to my current ac 20 and add the bolivans. a pf 10 is rated for a 10 but it has the same amount of gph. meaning that it is worth the same thing. after 3 weeks i will add the bolivan(to make sure the other filter has some bacteria in it. what type of media should i get for the pf 10. i was thinking 2 bio-max 20's and a sponge filter for debris. sounds good right? thanks for your input guys

is there anything that can go in the tank along with the bolivan.
what would happen if i add a pair of Bolivian?
a few guppy or endler ?
just trying to maximize the stock i have
