by BBS you mean brine shrimp? (artemia)
i asked some people that have bred oscars, one said from 4th day you should feed them with newly hatched artemia.
its 4th day now but the fries can't even swim yet!
i asked a more experienced breeder he told me start feeding with artemia in 8th day!
as a training i'm hatching some artemia now for first time! seems they are small enough to fit in fry mouth. they are as small as the point of letter " i " in word "shift" on your keyboard :D
if you feed the brine shrimps they grow up to 1 cm in 10 days! then they can eat fries instead of fries eat them :D

well ... they didn't age more than 10 days :(
2 days ago there were 100 fries with parents, yesterday morning there were 50, i don't know parents ate them or they died. then i separate the rest of them in a 10g and within a day all died. thought that 10g was cycled. it was working for months. i throw out 60% of the water and filled it with 40% of oscar tank water and 20% freshwater.

dunno they died of bad water quality or maybe i couldn't feed them well.
there are still 4 of them alive but i don't think they be tomorrow.

here is last pics of them ...

Wow. You got some great shots. Fish are so cute as wee fry. Transparent with just a big eye. LOL Even with losing some in the gravel, looks like you'll still have more than you know what to do with.

Sorry to hear about your fry, but since they bred once they should again. Please keep us updated. And don't feel so bad. This is a learning experience and this is the place to come for advice, just don't let it bother you what some say. You have to remember when one person learns something on here, there are lots that read about it and learn.
