Freshwater Testing Kit
I was just wondering if anybody had used the API Freshwater Test Kit before and if it is any good?

It's a pretty standard kit, tons of folks use them including myself. Easy to use and seems to be accurate (lol, not that I have the means to disprove it). When in d0ubt read it until it makes sense, then read it again!

I think you will find that most on this forum highly recommend the API test kits. I use one and have never had it fail on my. Just remember to shake shake shake the one bottle. I forget right now which one it is, either nitrate or nitrite.Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without

It's a good test kit to go with. If you buy it in person, take a look at the manufacturer date on it, try not to get one that is too old as the bottles have a limited shelf life.

Yes, Shake the TrAtes like they owe you money! Specifically #2 but shake both.
+1 My kit of choice.
Buy it from Amazon and it's about $20 which is likely a steal compared to your LFS price.
Gas mileage isn't everything OIIIIIIIO
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.
A warm beer is better than a cold beer. Because nothing is better than a cold beer, and a warm beer is better than nothing.

Mine seem to work well. Test strips are the ones to look out for. Real easy to get false readings.

The master test kit does the trick for most people, all that is needed are the KH&GH testing kits.
+1 to Amazon, $18 right now.
