First fish suicide
One of my lovely panda garras that I posted a photo of nibbling on my hand the other day was just found on my living room floor. First ever fish suicide :( frustrating because i am pretty sure i was only a few feet away when it happened, I think it occurred right after I fed the community...the pandas have figured out how to eat flakes from the top and may have jumped out in excitement.
Re-thinking lidless tank now...freak accident or does this happen a lot?

Not sure about those fish but a lid for any tank is a good idea to prevent these sort of things from happening. It could also be that something in the tank was stressing it out and it was trying to escape.20 gallon tall: empty
29 gallon: moderately planted with 9 bloodfin tetra, 1 german blue ram, 11 glow light tetra and 1 BNP
10 gallon QT: empty

I'm so sorry to hear that, I saw the photos you posted and found them to be just adorable (knew nothing of the species previously). I think lids on tanks are a good idea, better safe than sorry for me personally._______________________________________________
