Oranda Goldfish vs Corry Catfish!
As far as I can see there has been no fights, or nipping taking place in my aquarium, but yet I still find myself wondering if there is tension between the two fish in it.
Our Oranda Goldfish is a sweet, big-belly girl, while our Corry Catfish is one crazy, speedy guy. He loves to swim up fast to the top of the water and catch some air.
I have been noticing our catfish has taken a liking to the goldfish's underbelly and loves to stay near her most of the time but does like his space tucked away in the back of the tank.
He also likes to swim under her sometimes, but I am not sure if she's ok with it or not.
Should I be adding another catfish of the same small petite size to keep him company? Or is the goldfish all he needs.

Cory's need groups of the same species or they will stress. If your tank is big enough you should have a larger group of corys, and if it is not big enough you should not have corys. When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Everything Happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Rules: If you bend them long enough they turn into loopholes and you can walk right through them.

..If this is the 10G tank you refer to in your other thread you have a bigger issue to deal with.
IMO it is big enough for neither of your fish.
Cories are social fish and require groups of six or more [This requires a bigger footprint than you currently have] and orandas grow too large for a ten gallon tank.
Gas mileage isn't everything OIIIIIIIO
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.
A warm beer is better than a cold beer. Because nothing is better than a cold beer, and a warm beer is better than nothing.

as already mentioned, cories are social and maybe that particular fish was looking for companionship. cories are one of the least aggressive species
known in the aquarium hobby so it likely isnt aggression or animosity.
