Onto a more serious subject...last week I noticed a form of algae growing in my tank that I had never dealt with before BBA, so, I took out all my wood, gave it a good scrubbing, washed off the plants and put all back into the tank with a mental note to watch how much I feed. Well, one week later and it has come back with a vengence. How the frack do I get rid of this before the Discus are ready to go into the tank?
I have considered the following:
Adding some window screening under the Marineland Aquatic Plant LED light fixture I have. All plants are low light growers.
Possibly using Excel (1/2 dose) to rid the algae....really don't want to do this
Adding a couple Siamese algae eaters to the tank (Crossocheilus siamensis)
Any advice would be helpful!
