I was starting to worry when this "one" Rummynose wasn't coloring up....upon closer inspection I found an "imposter"....

Seems so. See Ian's solution to the problem here (Ian is "coryman") part way down the page. Don't know whether to believe it or not.

Sorry you had to loose beautiful corys Judi.
When in doubt, do a water change.

Thanks Taurus, it's really been a rough day... 3 of the 4 surviving corys seem to be doing better so I'm happy for that.

The information on the toxin poisoning is interesting..I do know when I purchased corys from the LFS the employees spent a lot of time chasing them around the tank in an attempt to net them possibly making them (unknowingly) release any toxin. Also these were Peppered & Julii cory not the susceptible Adolfoi or Sterbai.

Hope to hear from the vendor soon....

Does it school with everything else and can you get a closer pic?

I can now empathize with you, Judi. I had just received 7 BN plecos on Monday - everything in their tank was doing ok - perfect params earlier tonight and yesterday... then bam! 4 just died and I'm left with 3. =/ No idea what happened.

It might be a Gold tetra (Hemigrammus rodwayi) but the angles off a little to be sure.

Looks a little too elongated to be a Gold tetra IMO, but I would say it's definitely some sort of Characidae

I had to go through my aquarium atlas's but I think I narrowed it down to Moenkhausia ceros, the Ceros Tetra.

There are several Moenkhausia and Hemigrammus species that are very similer.
