Bought some new fish, 4 actually but one got killed by the Gourami.

Does anyone know what kind of fish is this? I think its a dwarf Cichlid but not sure.

what was the fish labeled as at the store?

sorry, but buying fish and throwing them into a tank w/o research is like just as bad as having a dog-husky and a rabbit...thinking they'll both get along in a 200ft apartment.

hence why your gourami killed a fish already

That's a young male Yellowfin Borleyi Cichlid. Latin name might be Copadichromis borleyi (but that whole genus is a bit messy in the classifications at the moment)
Adult length 6-8 inches. Pretty much the worst kind of tank mate for a gourami you can imagine. Most people over here keep gouramis in soft and acidic water, these guys really do best in typical Malawi water which is quite hard

Moral of the story - don't buy ANY fish if you don't know what it is or how to care for it.

No matter how tempting they look.

If you got a cellphone with camera take a picture of the fish and of the label on the tank, go home and do your research
