    put the plant in a little over a week ago was not the healthiest.
    i am guessing my nitrates are between 10-20 (will be testing later tonight
    i have 9.0 nitrates on my tap my hang on glass algae scrubber will be here today and i'll be setting that up to keep my nitrates lower in my tank.
    guessing that's some type of algae what should i do about that?
    oh and ignore the nasty tall fake plant that i must remove :D. need a low light tall plant for the back

    the fuzzy stuff on the petioles look like black beard/brush algae.

    i suspect its due to much lighting which will be on a steady timer soon enough. should i remove it later tonight and do a bleach / water mix and get it off as good as i can ?
