Horrible, but hilarious. My grandfather had died before I was born, so I didn't know him at all. It's funny the little things that creep up all of these years later. I literally just learned about a month ago that he was a boxer, before he had a career in refrigerator maintenance. Explains a lot. It never came up before. I guess as my Dad gets older, more about his past keeps floating up for him to ponder about. The older you get, I guess...

Kevin, I stole the wooden spoon my mother used to spank us with when I moved out, and my father was a boxer too.

Compass, tell that woman to change a diaper once in a while and that stuff won't happen so much.
When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.

People are afraid to discipline these days. I wouldn't burn my kid with a match, but spanking's all the rage in my house. lol

When my older daughter was 17 or so and we were at the shops she decided it would be funny to pretend to be a spoiled brat in front of other customers. I usually ignored her and thought it was funny. The last time she did it and older couple entered the aisle we were on and she said loud enough for them to hear, If you don't buy me this, pointing to something, I am going to fall on the ground and throw a temper tantrum. I told her, and if you do I'm sure these people will understand when I beat your ass. The woman said, I would understand and the man said, do you need to borrow my belt?. Was great for me and very disappointing to my daughter. There are still some out there who understand a spanking isn't a beating. If it's a beating you are doing it wrong.

lol, I love it. You're lucky you're in TX, mom. I don't think people up here in Northern VA would "get it." Maybe some... but not many.
