    Default Stocking help?

Hi guys, I'm new to this community but not entirely new to fish keeping, however this is my first freshwater tropical.
I currently have a 29g XH tank (36lx12wx18h) which is lightly planted (I will be adding more plants and possible a floating hornwort plant).
I was just wondering about how I should go about stocking it, or finishing stocking it. It currently has 4 Nerite snails (tire track), 4 Zebra/gold danios. I was going to add one or two more danios so that they will be happier in a school and as far as after that what I want to do is; add some honey gourami (possibly 3 or more, unless other fish are suggested) as well as a bulldog pleco and some amano shrimp. I will be upgrading the filter (currently a Tetra Whisper 30) to an aquaclear made for 20-40g tanks with a 200gph flow rate.

Are there any problems between gouramis and danios? Since danios are quick swimmers and gouramis are more leisurely.
Is this sufficiently stocked? Do I have room for more variation, and if so any suggestions?

    Thank you guys!

Never kept danios to really comment on them, it seems that people say they need a long tank as they are active fish.

but to address the gourami's. you can only do one in that tank. they are highly territorial fish when it comes to keeping their space claimed as their own. honey gourami's are generally nicer temperments than others and will be great with community fish as your danios, tetras, corys, etc. but to one doesn't end well.

regarding your filtration: keep the whisper 30 and add on the AC 40. you'll want filtration for 2x the size of your tank. after all that media in there, your rates get cut in half.

Honey's are relatively mild tempered. If you set up to provide territories you could get away with it. Failure to do so properly may well lead to dead fish.

Danios love some room, 3ft isn't at all bad.

Bulldog pleco is L187a I think. That doesn't do well in the warmer water your gouramis would prefer. It likes a bit of flow and needs very clean well oxygenated water. It's a species from relatively rapid flowing water higher in the mountains.
