I've never used a digital heater but I thought I'd still mention that I've been using the same aqueon heater for probably about 4 years now and haven't had any issues with it. It's kept my aquariums to the correct temperature consistently, although as I mentioned in your other thread that the numbers aren't accurate so you just need to adjust the dial based on the tank thermometer using the calibration method that I discussed.
+1 I've only had mine for 6 months but so far its a great heater.
