Thinking about a big purchase
So, been with my girlfriend for 6 years (since seniors in high school) and she has been living with me for about 6 months. I have been bouncing around the idea of getting an engagement ring, i know I want to, its just a matter of when (don't think its wavering on if shes the one or not)
I think she is kinda ready, even if she denies it. She has a wedding pinterest board... only thing is, I have been given the go ahead, like 6 months ago, from her sister and soon to be brother in law to propose while down in Punta Cana next month.... is it too late to buy?
Also, any tips for looking... I can't figure out what style setting to go with, but it needs to be a surprise so can't bring her along. I know she doesn't like the really complicated ones...

well, do you know her ring size, for starters? That's critical. It's not too late to buy, most places should be able to send you out the door with a ring unless you're going for something super fancy and customized.
Apart from that, don't have much to tell you. I was entirely unromantic, my wife and I picked out her engagement ring together.300 gallon mega tank: sailfin pleco, clown loaches, silver dollars, roseline sharks, congo tetras, new world cichlids

Yea, mine gf would kill me, and probably wouldn't be too happy if I tried to get her to pick one out.
I know approximately what her ring size is, but I have a plan to get that later in the week after going to check a few places out tonight.
I have it narrowed down to platinum or palladium, with a 3/4" Carat stone
Plus I know this is one place I can ask for help that she won't see lol

As long as you know her taste, her ring size and your budget, I guess you need to narrow it down to where to buy one. I went with my husband to pick everything out (we bought wholesale) - he was afraid I wouldn't like anything he picked - I chose my diamond and the band - for the same carat size (about 1 carat) I could have picked a larger diamond of lesser quality or a smaller one of better quality.

Can't help you with style too much...
But if she wants to actually wear it most of the time, get one with a low profile that won't catch on things...55 g Goldfish Tank - 3 Fancies, 2 Comets
