ok im haveing a very hard time finding a good quality of Rainbow Fish in my area ._. so i was wondering is anyone knows a good community Fish setting? I have a 56 Gallon Planted Aquarium i know i want to have some Cory and bristle nosed Pleco into my tank what else can i add to this. one more thing can i add clown loaches in too? or do they get to big? this tank is mainly set up for my mother to watch she is disabled and lets her enjoy something in her life. Thank you so much.

(ingore the power head i removed it cause of plants)

Yes, clown loaches will indeed get too big. However, if you can get your hands on some dwarf chain loaches, those can be very entertaining in a school of 10 or more. As for personable fish, a dwarf gourami or some dwarf cichlids like rams, kribensis, or apistos can quickly become a beautiful attraction and a real pet. Whatever you choose, just make sure to do your research thoroughly on your fish.

I think that would be too heavy on the bottom-dwelling stocking. I'd go for some mid to high level fish. Why not get a nice school of harlequin rasboras?

+ 1 to firefly for suggesting Harlequin's. There are a couple of great tetras I would recomend also; Bloodfins and Black neon tetra's. Both are mid-level to upper level fish that are peaceful, hardy and usaualy available.

I dont know what part of Indiana you are in but tbh... Petco or Petsmart around me has always had a great assortment of the different rainbows. Also I like the dwarf cichlids like Bolivian Rams.

Also here is a list of LFS

I love my black neons. Pretty hardy and carefree in a school, and I think Harly's compliment them nicely. For them, plant cover is recommended though. Keep looking at plants! Make sure you do your research beforehand in making sure that you have good lighting for them to grow, among other things. Good luck!

yeah i think i just mainly need to wait for the plants to grow more that i currently have. There is 2 corkscrew Vallisneria,10 Italian Vallisneria,4 batches of Dwarf Hairgrass,5 java ferns(which im going to add duckweed or some type of floating plant over to shade it once i can find 0.o so atm i stuck little window clings onto glass to block light some xD)and umm 1 mystery plant was added into the vallisneria for free lol it was sad lonly little looking hairgrass looking thing n they offered it free so... XD) i have 2 6,700k on a T5HO. any recommendations to add in would be nice.
