Feeding Red Tailed Sharks
I might be getting a Red Tailed Shark soon and I was hoping that somebody might know what food they prefer. Everywhere that I look says a bunch of different things. I understand that Red Tailed Sharks eat multiple things, but I would like to know what is BEST to feed them.

Redtail sharks are unfussy omnivores. Any quality commercial food should be fine, as well as vegetables such as cucumber and live foods in moderation. They really prefer to stay to the bottom though to anything you feed them should sink or be anchored down.

+1 to the above.
I haven't met a fish that didn't go crazy over "Hikari sinking wafers"

Okay, thank you both! I probably won't get a Red Tailed Shark anytime soon because they are aggressive, etc., but its good to know in case I do! Thanks again!

+1 - Yes, they act aggressive towards their own kind and they can grow quite large - they might look cool in a store but "down the road", you need to make sure your tank is large enough.46 gal fw tank with black skirt tetras, neon tetras, spotted corys, cherry barbs, otoclinus, snails & 4 amano shrimp - plastic & live plants
