Thanks for the heads up on that.

I generally do wait at least 3 days prior to purchasing. I'll go in on the day they ship in, then check on them 3 days later. if they've improved in color/activity a bit-then i know they'll be a good buy-if they haven't, i'll skip out on that week's shipment.

This place i'm checking out this week that has a sale for 10 for 20, has really good rep in the area, so hopefully that'll mean a good healthy stock too.

Very smart move. Happy Easter and may the shipment coming in prove to be a good
    one.
Once the school is set-up and content, post a few pictures. Nothing like a large school of blue, red and white.

Thanks! Happy Easter to you as well. I'll snap some pics when things do get settled.

and Amelia-I was super confused on why you left such a big open space on your post...till i saw the text at the bottom. lol.

Maybe in the 23rd century, they'll make the importing/exporting a bit easier down there for goods.

Probably not! It's all to do with the whole clean-green NZ thing. Every live animal or plant which comes into NZ has to be quarantined for 6 weeks, with 4 "check-ups" by DOC during that time. If anything at all looks "suspicious" to them, they can choose to have the entire shipment destroyed at the importers expense. Plus quarantine costs themselves, AND the importers have to pay DOC a lot for those checkups, like $1000 a visit. So it costs a hell of a lot to get anything into the country, and that's why our fish prices are ridiculous. Even with the very steep prices they barely make a profit a lot of the time. Quite sad really.

On a brighter note, I just sold my 16 Cardinals for MORE than I paid! I bought them for $80, and sold them for $100. And then my 40 new neons which I picked up today cost me only $60. Whooh!

Cor blimey, $60 for 40 neons!!

Over here in Dubai i pay 10 Dirhams for 5 Neons. So 40 would cost me 80 Dirhams, which is about $22 if im not mistaken.
    Fiiiiiiiiiiissssshhhhhh!

Just because I don't see that someone else has mentioned it, I would probably go for only 30 Cardinals as they get nearly twice as big as neons and have a higher bioload.

Congrats on the new Cards tho! I'm sure you'll love them. I got 40 new Neons the other day and I'm really enjoying them.
