ok so i got my 56gallon tank on monday n was cycling it then i found out i could add plants in so i added them into today ^^ what do u guys think? Also i soaked the wood for like 3 days and washed it off very good n it still made my water brown XD hoping it clears up some at least but added plants in n light fixture for it is in mail so i hope that tank came with is ok for a few days. Also is there such a thing as to many plants? XD Also ignore thermometer in middle of tank forgot to stick it back in corner >.> also power head is currently turned off because it kind of blew plants to much gotta let there roots grow more before i turn it back on.Also i had a little snail that came with plants i guess? should i remove him? hes kind of just sitting on the glass in coner at the moment.

that snail is one of many pest snails that can hitch a ride on plants. i dont mind having a few in my tank cause i never notice them. but if you over feed your fish or allow too much algae to build up any where you will know they are there. they are kinda like the cockroaches in the fresh water tanks...

power heads and plants generally dont mix. just think of where you see decently planted areas in the wild... in a fast moving stream or a calm lake? HOB filters are also to the best for plants but you can make a flow diverter pretty easily to salve that.

what filter are you using in the tank i cant see one...
