  1. Default cycling question

2 1/2 weeks into a fishless cycle. my ammonia levels went to 0 to i added about 1 ppm if ammonia to the tank. About 12 hours later the ammonia level is at 0 again. Do i keep adding every time the Ammonia levels drop to 0. Or do i just do it once every 24 hours?

Please help. I really dont want my cycle to stall Thank you

    Hi
You only want to test 1 time every 24 hours so resist checking earlier. And yes, you only dose every 24 hours. Are you showing any nitrites? How big is your tank? And what was your initial ammonia dose?

You're doing great then. I'd say you should be done in a week or 2.

Perhaps even sooner. But yes, do try to keep the level of ammonia up. Next interesting phase is when nitrite drops.

should i be checking my nitrate levels. Or i shouldn't worry about them until my nitrites go to 0
