So Disapointed

I've been waiting for the LFS to get in Black neons for awile. My school of them in my 50 gal have shrunk, for different reasons over the last few months to 4. Well they finally got about 30 of them in but when I observed them up close, they all had Ick. So now I have to wait for them to be treated or order them from the Wet spot when I place another order with them.

Just a little disapointed.

Sorry to hear that man, I saw they're pretty reasonable on liveaquaria and they offer a slight quantity discount so that may be interesting to you if you don't want to wait.

if you are in a rush why not buy them and treat them in QT... im sure more would survive if you treated them vs the darn store....

Wow, Black Neons are an absolute standard here. Every good LFS has them. Along with Neons and Glowlights, they are some of the most popular tetras.

I agree -- buy them and treat them yourself. You'll probably do a better job! And you might be able to get them cheap because they're "damaged goods".

I am sorry to hear that but I think the suggestion of talking to the lfs and taking them with the Ick could "net" you a great discount since the store probably doesn't want to deal with the issue and the fish would have a much better chance of a flourishing with you in QT.

Many place will not sell fish they know are ill. They will be the ones who have to make good on a bad purchase so I can understand not selling fish with ick.

That is dissapointing. But if I were you, I'd try to have patience and wait until I could find some healthy stock. Of course it's up to you my friend, but if it were me, I'd wait. Why invite trouble in the front door unless you really want the challenge of eliminating the ich.
