I went to my LFS today and the owner said that API Stress Coat/Zyme products aren't worth the money. So here's my updated list:

    Aquarium
    Filter
    Substrate
    Heater
    Stand
    Seachem Prime
    API Bottom Feeder Shrimp Pellets
    Albino Cory
    Oto

Total is estimated to be around $800.

So here's my setup plan (in descending steps):

    Rinse Sand.
    Assemble Stand.
    Assemble Hood.
    Assemble Filter
    Rinse tank.
    Place tank on stand.
    Test stability.
    Add Seachem Prime to aquarium.
    Add water to halfway point.
    Add sand.
    Add décor.
    Fill water to top.
Place filter to & return tubing into tank.
Place cycled filter media from AquaTech 5-15 into filter.
Plug in & turn on filter.
    Place air stone in water.
    Plug in air pump.
    Place thermometer onto tank walls.
Plug in heater and place in tank water. Adjust to 77°F.
Add plastic baggie with fish to water and let baggie water temp reach tank water temp.
Net fish and place into water.
    Place hood on tank.
    Turn on light.

    Does this seem correct?

ouch.... since this is a start up tank i would add the prime in after you added the water (or after you add the sand) and let the tank sit a few mins before adding the filter on.

also i would dial that thermometer in to the correct temp. jager is a good heater but its still volnerable to the useual "inaccuracies" of the dial. basically it allows you to calibrate it if the temp reads off but until that happens.

    GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!:

Remember that friend of mine that was going to sell me her aquarium? Well, she got rid of it, right? I went to a garage sale today and she had brought an EHEIM 2213 and FLUVAL 203 :O

I bought both for $10. They both work and look great! The problem is... I need an EHEIM Classic (Model 2217) :P

Oh well, I'll get it all to work out soon enough :)

not sure on apis food for fish, you might want to look at omega one or hikari since it seems like you are ordering off petsmart.
