Quickrete Medium Grade Sand is cheaper, but might be bad for the water (dirty, dusty, etc.)

PFS is supposedly the best and I'm leaning towards that.

FYI - The Quikrete sand is pre-washed. Extremely clean. Either one would be good.

I use PFS in my tanks as well and love it. I did rinse it well beforehand but was probably not necessary. Also not sharp like play sand which is good because i have corydora and have seen play sand rode the barbels. just my 2 cents

Is top fin a good brand for stands? I've looked at the reviews and see that some are rating it 1/5 stars. What?!

I want the 75g native oak stand. Your opinion?

I sae online that your tank/hood combo is on sale at Petsmart right now for 205. You should check when the sale ends because it said it only lasts 8 days and I dont know when it started.

I have no suggestions on a stand (I have a 75 gallon tank waiting for a stand too). Think I will have to break down and borrow tools to make one.

    Good luck.

Budget... depends. The planned budget is $1,000. Here's the list with links:

    Aquarium
    Filter
    Substrate
    Heater

    Stand
    API Stress Coat+
    API Stress Zyme+
    Seachem Prime
    API Bottom Feeder Shrimp Pellets
    Albino Cory
    Oto
    Shrimp

Total is estimated to be around $900-950.

A sheet ove it makes it look better...
I used a stand like that for about 6-8 months for my 55g worked fine

Well, I don't want it to look like crap, so looks matters a little. I do like the Top Fin stand I posted, but I would like y'alls opinion.
