Default How many endlers should I get?

    0 Not allowed!
    I have a 26g/100L tank with 16 neon tetra, 6 three-lined Cory.
I want to add some endlers, but I want to be careful I don't overstock if they breed.
Am I right in saying you need more than one female to one male?
To be on the safe side I think ill get just one male. But is it better to get two or three females with him? I'd prefer 2 just to make sure I don't get too many babies, but will the male harass them too much with just 2 females? What's the ideal ratio of male to female?
I also plan to get a honey gourami which may eat some fry if this affects how many I should get.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Stock endlers the same as you would guppies. Some say 1 male to 2 females, but I have found 1 male to 3 females works better. Just a caution here, you are pushing the limits on the room in that tank, watch your nitrate levels between water changes and be sure the fish have enough room before you get the gourami.
When I go fishing I just throw sharp rocks in the water and wait for the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Dear naps, sorry I hated you so much when I was a child... Love me

Just a warning: honey gouramis are IME ridiculously incompetent at catching anything moving, not to mention fry that are born fast and dully developed. It is less natural but unless you want to deal with tons of fry it might be better to have only males. If there are no females to fight for they should be more peaceful with each other. 16 neons, 6 cories, a honey gourami and some 4-5 male endlers would be a good stock for a 26 gallon.
