Default Mono Angelfish Death with white spot marks

    0 Not allowed!
Hey guys, I have a 15 Gallon tank and I had two mono angels in it for about more than 2 weeks and am very new to this hobby,

today when i woke up in the morning I noticed white marks on both the sides of one of them. I had to leave early for some very important work and when I returned after 3 hours I found him in a very bad state in the bottom of the tank. I took him out of the water and kept him in a separate bucket but eventually after a while the poor chap died.

I have no idea if it's kind of a disease and it will hurt the other ones (I have two red tailed and 2 rosy-barbs with one monoangel left) and if it does what can I do.

    Please help!

Thank you so much in advance.

None of your fish are suitable for a 15 gallon tank.

Mono angel: up to 10" and requires brackish water

Red Tailed barb (tinfoil barb) max length 15" should be kept in schools

Rosy barb: max length 5.5" should be kept in schools

I suggest returning all these fish and do some research as to which fish are suitable for your tank size. I am assuming that your tank is not cycled as well. Please read up on cycling a tank here:

++ to kingfisher. whoever guided you on your stocking was way off the mark. Return the remaining fish asap before they also die. Then, as he suggested, read up on cycling so you're prepared for the next fish you purchase - but make sure you research your selections first. If you want help with stocking ideas, do ask here.
    good luck

also, I am getting a professional for cycling my tank. So, I would really appreciate if you can give me some idea regarding my stocks and filters i should use.

    Thank you.
