    The guy who has helped guide my ever growing love for fish found this book for me and gave it to me so that I would quit borrowing his copy, lol. It's a really cool reference piece and it costs 100 USD new. Good friends are great to have.

    Is it really good? Thinking of getting it shipped from the US but it's $100. Or the mini-Atlas edition is $20.

    No but he's considered so important in the field that quite a few fish are named after him.

    The book is pretty good but do take into consideration that latin names do change. Even since the most recent edition, the 11th I think, things will have changed already

    Of course, no book can be 100% accurate because things are always changing and new species always discovered. But I would love a good reference book.
