Ok thank you ameliaaahx. I was confused with which type of cichlid. Ill keep swordtail instead of Madagascan since I want the fish to be happy.

Cichlids like caves, so ill put enough caves for them to be comfortable.

For tiger barbs, I meant coloration, sorry. I don't know if green tiger and platinum tiger are the same.

    So it's settled.
    15-20 tiger barbs
    1 male 2 female swordtail
1 male 2 female flag cichlid(temporary for female)
    6-8 zebra loach
1-3 pleco(depends on size; tank is next to windows, not in front of, so they will have plenty of algea to feed on)

Ok just 2 questions before I call this done.

When the cichlids mate, could I put the other in my 200g tropical pond? It does have gourami, but it has ALOT of room.

What would be my maximum number of tiger barbs, for in the future if there is new colors.

Yes cichlids like caves, loaches love them also as they like to squeeze in next to each other so the more caves the merrier.

Here is the Platinums vs. the Moss Greens, if you haven't seen them before. I really think the Glo Tiger Barbs are awful, I'd just stick to the natural colours. But that's just my opinion.

Your stock-list sounds good. Not sure about putting the cichlid in the pond -- someone else might be able to help with that. Your LFS should let you return one and maybe get some food or some more Barbs. That would probably be a better option.

I probably wouldn't do much more than 20 barbs.

Ok maximum will be 22 then. Ill probably have less. Thank you for clarifying the difference. So it's the platinum, regular, moss green, albino, and glo? Or are there more I don't know about?

Oh and for the LFS... I forgot to say. It's 2 hours away. Maybe petsmart or a worker will take it, some of them own cichlid tanks.

I don't know of any other colours although I'm sure there are more. I think too many and it just starts to look messy. When I had Tiger Barbs I just had 5 green, 5 gold and 5 regular.

Ok Thank you everyone for help. Stocking list is done. If I can't get any flag cichlids it chanchitos ill have to find another, but I eventually will get them.

Will upload once done, maybe make an aquarium journal.
