Thank you Firefly. It is the first brand new tank I have had in many years, all the others I had/have were given to me or Craigslist finds. Aquascaping is not my forte' but I try. Here is a blurry picture of the tank after I set it up.

I'm never happy with the look after I am done, but I do think this is one of the better attempts. I am jealous of people like you and Jenn with your beautifully scaped tanks. And to keep this on topic, this is one of the tanks I can realistically have in my current home and plan to add some manacapuru angels from angelsplus as soon as I can rehome the angel that is currently in the tank and add some taller plants.
When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

It's looks great! To me less is more after every tank I've had has turned into a jungle and you can't even find the fish. I don't like over-planted anymore. I'm over that like I'm over livebearers, clown puke gravel, fake decorations and plastic plants. LOLOL

That looks pretty decent to me. I'd be very happy with that scape - just add some Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae in the middle and you'll get lovely tangled planting curling around that beautiful wood.

Personally I would have multiple racks of tanks upon tanks wall to wall for all the different types of species only or strain only discus tanks with a large 500 gal show tank arround an amazonian theme with about 1000 cardinals 500 lemon tetras and 20 discus.

All these would be on an automated water changer with a hidden water storage system that auto ages my water and heats to 82F.
That would be an awesome tank .

Anyone else notice how the tank linked in the OP appears to have only the front glass tinted? Is that for real, or some kind of photo error? I've never seen that before.

Not sure what you mean. The catalogue photo might be tinted so it doesn't look flat (i.e. gives a more three dimensional impression). Is that what you mean? I've seen these tanks at the store and they don't have tinted glass
