    Default White flakes

    My tank has suddenly been infect by floating white flakes and I have no idea of what it is or where it has come from

    Anyone have any idea?

    Can't really tell from the picture. It might be particles of filter media, something flaking off the ornaments, or maybe some sort of mold/fungus growing in the tank and breaking apart from the current. Those are just a few things that come to mind, have you taken any out to try and figure out what it might be?
    If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
    Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
    I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
    Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.
    The truth is not something you hide behind but what you stand on!

    Not yet. I'm at work and my other half just sent me a picture. I'm new to this so I don't think I could ID it. I'm will do a water Chang in the morning and take thefilter apart. I'm surprised its coming through the filter though

    If its coming through the filter I'd check that first.
    20 gallon tall: moderately planted with 10 bloodfin tetra and 1 german blue ram
    29 gallon: lightly planted 15 glow light tetra
    10 gallon QT: empty

    It could also be hard water deposits falling off the hood or glass top.
