Thread: Bubbles rising from sandbed
04-26-2013, 12:36 AM #11
Update on my Nassarius sails; As I said last month I picked up 5 of these guys. I know I lost one because it is moving around with hermit crab legs sticking out of the front, lol. I think while cleaning the front glass I might of damaged the Nassarius sail and the blue legged hermit took advantage. I do have a variety of empty shells on the sand bed for the hermits.
Anyway tonight while I was feeding the fish I noticed two small snails about the size of a BB which look just like small replicas of Nassarius sails. Their shells were covered in sand and their front appendage was leading the way.
Being from a fresh water background I am a little wary of having baby snails.
Do saltwater snail breed like rabbits overtaking a tank or do they regulate their population?
Should I be worried about these.Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..
Please remember; every keystroke has a consequence.
