I have cycled a 20 gal for my son with some media from my main, now I need some help from those of you in the know. He wants at least two Rams, Killis, Kribs or Cockatoo Cichlids. Any thoughts on suitability or ease of care would be much appreciated. The tank has an internal Fluval U2 filter, 2 x t5 lights, sand substrate and a submarine ()

I would go with the Appistogramma personally. They do best in the smaller tanks and are the least aggressive of the mix. Would be fine with one of those clay pots that look broken or any kind of cave.

    couldn't agree more.
I've owned rams, kribs, apisto's now, and out of those 3, the ones that were better off in a smaller tank (albeit it was a QT set up for 6 weeks) the apisto flourished more and enjoyed it.
