Oh boy
A good friend of mine has offered me a very large tank & stand. The main DT is fused to a smaller (but still large) cube tank, and it's all connected to a refugium. I asked her what she wanted for it, and she said "Give me an offer." I said I'll wait. The tank does need a bit of cleaning and refurbishing. Should I buy this tank for around 80 bucks, or lower, or buy a brand new tank & items?
I will post photos as soon as I can.10 Gallon: 5 Peppered Corys | Pool Filter Sand | x2 AquaTech 5-15 Power Filter | 2 plastic plants

Its very hard to judge without pictures but from the sounds of it $80 would be low balling it in my opinion.
20 gallon tall: moderately planted with 11 blood fin tetra
10 gallon QT: empty

What is large to you? To most people it is 90 gal and up. A tank and stand that size is worth much more than $80 and over a hundred gallons is easily over $200 (that would be a deal.) Still, any such tank will need a hood/light or glass cover and lights as well as heaters and filter(s). So, plan on these - if included, than the value is much greater than just a tank and stand. Use dimensons and the program (aqadvisor) found in my signature to calculate tank size.

A 75 gal with eight Discus, fake plants, and a lot of wood also with sand substrate. Clean up crew is fifteen Sterba's Corys. Filters: canister w/UV, in-tank algae scrubber that removes phosphates and nitrates! Also, a highly dangerous commercial nitrate removal unit from hell

I've emailed my friend and am awaiting her reply. While I visit her, I will measure the aquarium and calculate the gallon size. Will post photos as well when I get them.
