    Default Cardinal Snacks?

I have a Koi angelfish in my 65g community tank with a large school of harlequin rasbora and dwarf chain loaches. He is roughly 2 1/2 - 3 inches long. I had HOPED that if I added Cardinal tetras to my tank he would be okay with them since he has grown up with the Harlequins and Dwarf Chains (which are easily bite sized). It turns out not. He hunted the Cardinals immediately and I had to net him and throw him in the 120g with the severums. It's unusual because they're just as big if not bigger than some of the runt Harlequins and Loaches, most of them being at least an inch long and FAT -- I honestly doubt he'd be able to get one down but he's sure keen on trying. It must be the colour that caught his eye.

Does anyone know -- if I leave him in the 120g for a few weeks and then move him back to the 65g, will he be less likely to hunt the cardinals? I know it would have been ideal to buy them cardinals first and then add a small angel, but at the time I bought him he was in a much smaller tank and I didn't have the space for 2 schools.

The harlys and loaches aren't as bright and shiny and the cardinals also the angel has been with the others for a while. This happens a lot when new fish are introduced to a tank where an angel has already established itself. Putting the angel in another tank usually works, but be prepared to net him again, as with all cichlids, you just never know.

Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Smaug, you're here a lot just to say it's a waste of your time, poor baby, I bet you don't even know how big a loser you are, and how much we laugh at you and your foolish attempt to give your life meaning. Quit drinking, get a life, go take care of your family, grow up!
