Thread: Airstone Recommendations?

Quick question. In the last year I've had to replace 6 broken or clogged airstones and am looking for something a bit reliable.
Four of them were like these:
and two of them were like these:
It seems the thin, circular ones crack with the slightest adjustment. And the thinker blue stones are prone to clogging. I had one that liked to build a little pressure and then release the air in big "gulps". To hear the glub, glub, glub noise coming the thank what that one in it was infuriating.
Anyway, how are these:
Any other recommendations for a good brand? Anything "unbreakable" out there?

I've learned from the forum over the years that airstones are not needed, esp if you have a HOB filter.
But if you like the look of bubbles I always just bought the cheapo cardboard type wands so they can be easily replaced every year or so and made sure to anchor the air hose to something. For example twisty tie it to the power chord of my heater so it doesn't get jerked around. I also made sure not to disturb it much when fussing/cleaning the tank.
Nothing lasted particularly better when buried. For me anyhow...

Take it from someone who has taken the winding walk down this VERY long road with these bubble devices...
Look NO further than these:

I use the Hagen Elite Bubble Disk. I think they have it on Amazon. It works well and produces alot of bubbles. You really need to weigh it down or it will float (either with gravel/rocks/attach suction cup).
