lps corals
I have since added a button coral which is around 1 1/2 inches in diameter and two smaller mushroom corals. Feeding the button some pellets is a chore. My skunk cleaner and hermits come out of no where to compete for the food.
Thanks to Cliff and his reverse funnel idea, feeding has become easier.
I know mushrooms dont like alot of light (I have 16k LED's) so I put them near the bottom corner of the tank where the water flow isn't as active. They were introduced today and even after a few hours they look stressed. Not open all the way and their colour is duller. We'll see tomorrow what they look like. I hope they fully open and relax.Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..

mushrooms can usually grow anywhere and everywhere. give em some time to adapt and you should be fine.

Thanks Crispy. Cliff replied that if the coral looks like a tulip I should move them toward the light more which I did for my red one. It's the amount of current I have in the tank which makes me think I have them in the wrong spot. How does the current effect the mushrooms?

My friend and I both have various mushrooms and I never noticed a difference with the current except they may move.
The lights would be my first guess. I would try to move them around like cliff said.
My friends LED's were too strong for his mushrooms and they never would open and looked shriveled. However, when they were the farthest away from the LED's they began to open up. I have 1/2 the amount of LED's so we took his mushrooms and put them in my tank and they began thriving. Shortly after my friends LED's messed up so he put T5's on there and they mushrooms opened up like mine are.
Hope that helps... if not least I got to tell a story :-)

Thanks for the feedback.
I moved the red one higher up and after two days it still seems stressed. The blue one is lower and out of the direct light and seems to be better off although still not fully open all the way around.
I will keep searching for the sweet spot.Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..
