So i cut my bushes in front of my bottem foyer, were the fish room is, It has let alot of sunlight in, I enjoyed the nature light. but the past 2 days my tank has turned a greenish brown color. I cleaned the walls today and did my 50% wc. No change, should I leave the light off and keep room dark a while. Or is it somthing else beside an alge bloom?

Sounds more like a algae bloom from the direct sunlight

It most likely will not go away until there is not direct sunlight getting to the tank
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

You have obviously cut the bush because you like the sunlight in or some other, so maybe moving the tank away from direct sunlight. Does the tank have lights on it? Maybe you can turn off the lights for a while and just let the tank have sunlight it might help.

No I ha energy efficient double panes windows put in. So had to cut bushes for them to put them in and also had to cut bushes do to mold. Not a fan of the sunlight. Will more wc help? Till it gets straightened out

never dealt with it what you are going through, by my experience with other algae and how I go about that is as follows:

    no lights (whatsoever)
feed every 3rd day (low feeding helps prevent excess food from producing ferts for the algae to take up)
big water changes every 2 days
no dosing of ferts/anything for plants.

and I keep to that schedule till the algae is gone.

I only ever had to deal with that once (as I learned my lesson the hard way).

I can't really remember for sure as this was many years ago now, but I think I had the tank lights off for about a week (maybe less) and I blocked all direct and indirect sunlight from reaching the tank. I also did a lot of extra water changes as well. After that things pretty much returned to normal for me
