From first glance, with the size of the fish the tank looks like a 30-40 gallon tank with just smaller fish lol... I had to realize the type of fish to gauge the size

I know what you mean, those congos are pretty close to 4 inches. I was expecting them to get that big, but I am very happy to see it just the same. I've had a few of them for close to 4 years now. I've had that severum and those firsmouths for about 3 years as well

So how's that CO2 diffuser been working for you? Do you have the link for the one that you purchased?

I love both tank layouts - but I'll be honest - I like the original layout the best, only, I think, because the colors are so placid and mellow - very zen looking :o) I can't wait, however, to see how the plants grow out because the new layout is very striking!
My congos aren't as big as yours yet but they are getting close to 3 1/2 inches. I got them because I saw the photo of your tank in the TOTM winner section and fell in love.

    Thanks guys

Funkman, I know a fellow hobbyist here in town who is currently using one of these diffusers. He really likes it as he gets no bubbles in the tank. He has a 55 gallon tank and using about 1 to two bubbles per second with a XP3. So far I like the results I'm getting as there are no bubbles put into the tank, but I'm also only putting in 1 bubble per two seconds until the ferts I ordered gets in.

I bought the diffuser off of E-bay (link below)

Tank is looking really nice Cliff. Looking forward to seeing it when the plants grow some.
If your congos are 4" then how big is your severum and fire mouth?

The severum is around 6 to 6.5 inches long and the firemouths are around 5 to 5.5
