So like I want to buy a new filter that stays under water so if anyone has any suggestions? I also have a T5 that im going to use for lighting so id like to have live plants too, also i dont know any fish id want i can get hot or cold water so its ok so if anyone has any suggestions. I dont know what to do so can you guys help direct me to the way of keeping tropical or cold water fish the right way.

Welcome to the AC Zosime.

A 29 gallon tank is a nice size, well done. Your filter (i have one 20 gallon filter) will not do unless your only going to have a few fish in it. Get a filter twice the size of your tank if you can. Filtration will make all the difference between having an easy to care for tank and a nightmare one.
I like tetras and Cory's which are tropical fish and most of them are peaceful.
If I may suggest; your T5 light needs to be monitored. Leave it on too long and you'll get algae like crazy. Get a timer if you can or manually turn it on for only 6-8 hours a day.
Have you read up on how to get your tank cycled yet? This is a very important step if your just getting stuff ready for your fish. Dont rush into it. There is a mountain of great info on this site as to how to start a tank. But you need to know what you want to stock first. Glad you picked the AC.
Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..
Please remember; every keystroke has a consequence.
