  1. Default Air Plugins Safe?

I sure this has been asked before but how safe do you feel all these products like Glade Plugins? I think it's fabreeze that puts out the table unit that squirts like once a hour? I have dogs and would like to add some to the house which most say PET SAFE but does that include Water? I guess my thought if the chemicals settle into the water?

give it a good radius from your tank and you are safe

it'll disperse fast enough in the air that it shouldn't cause any problems.
but if you have it on top of the tank/right next to it...i wouldn't recommend that.

I have them in my apartment - Hasn't caused a problem, but I have glass tops on all my tanks.

Its a good question indeed after a sudden death of 5 neon tetras in my tank overnight after turning on anti-mosquite device. Only tetras. No other mere reason I found - just one parameter was changed, which was that device turned-on for the first time in apartments.

You are also dealing with much harsher chemicals (potentially) than an air freshener. lol

I've lit candles, used cleaning products around my tanks and never had an issue. What gets into the air diffuses way to fast for any real impact unless you are right next to the tank/above it/spraying right into it.

Even if you did spray right into the tank, it'd probably be as effective as Melafix. lol Not that I'd recommend doing it. ;P
