So my friend has 110 gallon freshwater tank and after a water change that he did today the water became really cloudy and had tons a lot of particles in the water. Tank has been running for 5 years.
what could be the problem?? here are some pics...
Did he stir up the gravel? If the water going in directly hit the gravel it could have kicked up a bunch - in which case in will settle, and could just use a decent gravel vac.
Or another possibility, did your friend use a dechlorinator? If not cloudiness could be from a mini cycle...
Thats all i could come up with
55g: DG, 5 GBR, 4 Oto, 6 Sterbai, 4 Platies, RCS
10g: RCS, 10 Boraras Brigittae; 10g: UNDER CONSTRUCTION; 10g: UNDER CONSTRUCTION
MY 55G SET UP
, MY DUAL 10g SHRIMP BUILD
55: Amazon Sword, C. Red Wendtii, J Fern, Wisteria, Hygrophila Angustifolia, Moneywort, A. Nana, Subwassertang, Microswords, Sag Chilensis, Gold Lloydiella, Phoenix Moss
10: Crystal Vals, Dwarf Sag, A. Coffeefolia, Phoenix Moss
If your friend typically did not do a lot of regular and larger (around 30 to 50%) water changes or clean the gravel on occation, I would guess it is a build up of crud in the substrate
Do you know the current parameters ?
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
