How frequent are your water changes? I don't have ottos myself, but from this thread, it seems they are sensitive fish. Perhaps they like super-clean water with 0 nitrates. Up the water changes frequency to 25%-50% every other day for the next week and vacuum the substrate thoroughly.

Ottos often arrive half starved and are badly fed in the shop

Talldutchie: I know when I got them I had a ton of algae in the tank (I'd been growing algae for this reason) and they were well fed with full stomachs any time I saw them on the glass.20 gallon tall: empty
29 gallon: moderately planted with 9 bloodfin tetra, 1 german blue ram, 11 glow light tetra and 1 BNP
10 gallon QT: empty

make sure to supplement their diet with zucchini on a clip as well. Even though there is algae, they may be reluctant in a new tank to eat, and supplying something they really love assures they will eat.2 10 gallon tanks, 1 20 gallon tank, 1 Fluval Edge, 1 29 gallon tank, and one backyard pond.
