Substrate depth
what is the best depth of substrate for my tank?
I have fine sand (<1mm) in a tank with no rooted live plants plants, that will house corydoras, neon tetras and shrimp.
Best depth??

1-1.5" should be enough. You don't want it too deep as it can trap gases.

I suggest 3/4 inch.

I have mine about 1 inch think, maybe a little less. Seam to work great and easier to clean as well
