German Blue Ram White Spot, really dont think its ich
hi all. I have a german ram male that has had a white spec on his fin for the longest time. When he first got it, I had him for about 4 months. I freaked the f out and treated him for ich and what not. this was like probably 6-8 months ago. there was no change or anything. Here we are 8 or so months later, still no change, hes real healthy and has a new little female following him around the tank all the time so I wanted to make sure he was in tip top shape for the next few months! his appetite has never changed, he still eats everything and ya... he seems perfectly healthy. what could it be? the white spec is on his right fin and is about the size of a needle point. Any thoughts? Ill try and get a pic up but itll be hard to see.
Thanks!

we'll need that pic.
it's far too vague without it. sorry.
while you are getting that pic, can you post the following:
tank mates?
tank size?
filtration?
ammonia/nitrites/nitrates?
all those can play a factor in fish health/stuff that causes disease/spots.

I had the same issues with mine. It's good that it hasn't gotten worse! If he isn't stressed and all your parameters are good, it should go away in time (mine took few months). I wouldn't freak out and treat it if he appears healthy since the meds and isolation without dither fish may stress him out and make it worse...
