    Default Anyone use Metricide 14?

    I have been reading about it being a good substitute to flourish excel...

    If you do use it, how much do you dose? Any risks? etc

    I am planning to get a little more techy into my tank and use metricide and the Macro / Micro nutrient mix from http://www.aquariumfertilizer.com/in...ditU=1&Regit=2


    I am trying not to spend a fortune, but would like some good plant growth
    55g: DG, 10 Parva Rainbow, 5 GBR, 3 Oto, 6 Sterbai, 5 Platies, RCS
    10g: RCS, 10 Boraras Brigittae; 10g: 2 Calico BN Pleco; 10g: 4 Sterbai
    MY 55G SET UP , MY DUAL 10g SHRIMP BUILD
    Plants:
    55: Amazon Sword, C. Red Wendtii, J Fern, Wisteria, Hygrophila Angustifolia, Moneywort, A. Nana, Subwassertang, Microswords, Sag Chilensis, Gold Lloydiella, Phoenix Moss

    yea a guy I know just mentioned it. Its online, but I've seen mixed prices etc

    I use it and I cant tell any difference between it and Excel. I dose the same as Excel, 1ml/10gal, even though its supposed to be more concentrated.

    Though I have to say, a gallon is an awful awful lot of the stuff. I think my jug is half empty and its past its expiration date by now.

    Oh, and throw away the bottle of activater that comes with it. Its not used.
